SWIM CLUB COACHES
The coaches' job is to
supervise the competitive swim program. The Aggie Swim Club
coaching staff is dedicated to providing a program for youngsters that will
enable them to learn the value of striving to improve oneself - "to be the
best you can be".

Remko Hinloopen - Senior Coach - TAMU Rec
Center
Remko is currently a senior at Texas A&M University studying
Ocean Engineering. He is originally from Katy, Texas, where he coached the
Age Group Development program with KATY Aquatics focusing mainly on stroke technique.
Remko
coached with the Aggie Swim Club during the 2003-2004 year with the
novice program and began coaching the senior/senior development program
during the 2004-2005 year.
Remko swam USA competitively from the age of 7 through 19 and
continues to practice and compete in USA swimming. As an age
grouper, Remko was a High school All-American and Junior National qualifier with Katy Aquatics and
swam at Georgia Tech during his freshman year. His hobbies include
swimming reading and running. Remko can be reached

Ryan Goodwyn - Age Group Coach - TAMU Rec Center
Born
in Bryan, Ryan
has been involved with the United States Swimming for over twenty years. As an age-group swimmer, he participated with the City of
Plano Swimmers under coach Chris MacCurdy. While there, COPS was
one of the top age-group programs in the nation, winning
several TAGS and Jr. National Championships.
In
high school, Ryan continued his association with COPS while also
swimming for Plano Senior High School. In his senior year, he was the
team captain for the UIL State Champion PSHS team and was named the
Swimming World Magazine Mythical National Champions. In college, Ryan
swam for Texas A&M University under Mel Nash and Jay Holmes, two
well-respected coaches who have coached for USA National teams. His
specialties while at A&M were distance freestyle and backstroke.
Ryan has been coaching in the B/CS area for over ten years on both the
high school and club level. He is beginning his third year as the
Head Coach for A&M Consolidated High School. He continues to train
and swim competitively while also coaching and completed a lifelong
dream of swimming the English Channel during the summer of 2004.
Ryan teaches
English II Honors at A&M Consolidated High School and lives in College Station

Gavin Uttecht -
Novice Coach -
College Station
Middle School
Growing up in Houston
Gavin competed with Cy-Fair Swim Club/FLEET and was a varsity swimmer
with Langham Creek High School. He is currently a History major
with minors in Business and Geology at
Texas A&M University and hopes to go on to Law School upon his
graduation. Gavin has coached with the Cypress Sting Rays Summer
League for the last three years and enjoys helping young swimmers realize
their potential in and out of the pool.

Paul Wallace
- Age Group Development Coach - College Station Middle School
Originally from Alvin, Texas, Paul is a
history major at Texas A&M and will be graduating in December, 2007.
While at Texas A&M, Paul has kept
himself close to the swimming pool through his employment, which
includes being the manager for the Texas A&M Men's Swimming Team for the
2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 seasons, working for the Texas A&M Swim Camp in 2005, 2006
and 2007
and working at the Texas A&M Student Recreation Center as a lifeguard
for the last 3 years.
Paul loves to watch the young swimmers
progress from beginners to the competitive level and helping them grow

Stephen Weber - HS Auxiliary/Age Group Development Coach -
College Station
Middle School
Stephen is currently
attending Blinn College with plans to transfer to Texas A&M with the
hopes of completing a degree in Biology.
Stephen's swimming
background includes competing for 14 years with Circle C (now Texas
Longhorn Aquatics) and Westlake High School. As a senior Stephen
was a member of an 800 freestyle relay team that still holds the
National Age Group Record.
In addition to attending
school and working with the Aggie Swim Club Stephen is the team manager
for the Texas A&M Men's Swimming Team. He enjoys being able to give
something back to the swimming community.

Christine Johnson
- Age Group Development Coach - College Station Middle School
Christine is originally from Corpus Christi where she swam competitively
for 11 years. She also taught swim lessons for 8 years and has
coached summer league for four years as well as officiating for 3 years.
Christine also worked as a coach/counselor at the Texas A&M Swim Camp in
2007 and she loves staying involved with swimming and working with kids.
Christine
is currently in her Methods semester at Texas A&M University majoring in
Education. She is also involved with CARPOOL, is a local secretary
of TSTA-SP and the president of District II, a Bible study leader for
the Episcopal Student Center and works at the 12th Man Foundation.

Guido Locati - Novice and Age Group Development Coach - College Station
Middle School
Guido is originally from San Antonio,
where he swam and played water polo with the Alamo Area Aquatics
Association and competed with his local high school. Growing up a
summer league swimmer, Guido began coaching his local summer league
program 3 years ago. He worked with the College Station Tsunamis
and the A&M Swim Camp during the summer of 2007.
Guido is currently a junior at Texas
A&M University majoring in Sociology. He enjoys swimming and is
currently training in his spare time with plans to eventually swim the
English Channel. His favorite part of coaching is getting smiles
from his swimmers and watching people enjoy the exercise.

Shannon Clark - Masters/Junior/Age Group/Age Group Development Coach - Bryan Aquatic Center/TAMU Rec Center
Originally from New Jersey, Shannon began swimming competitively at the
age of 4. She has been involved with the sport of swimming for the
better part of 20 years. As an age-group swimmer, Shannon held New
Jersey Age Group State Records in the 100 backstroke and 200 IM. At age
12 she was the youngest swimmer in her team's history to qualify for
YMCA Nationals. In college, Shannon swam for Ohio University in Athens,
Ohio under the direction of Scott Hammond. Her specialties while at OU
were the 100 and 200 backstroke.
Shannon has continued to be involved in swimming through her children,
Tyler (16), Haley (14) and Henry (42) who have been active members of
the Aggie Swim Club for the last 7 years. She has been the Club's
Administrator for the last 6 years and has coached Novice, Age Group
Development, Age Group and Junior programs with the Club since 2002. She also
coached with the College Station Tsunamis during the 2004 summer season
and worked with the Bryan Barracudas during the summers of 2005, 2006
and 2007.

Rick Stanfield - Age Group Development/HS Auxiliary Coach - Huntsville
Aquatic Center
Originally from Ft. Worth, Rick grew up swimming and competing through high
school and at Midland College, where he was a four time All-American and 200
yard backstroke national champion. His coaching resume includes
working with the Bayshore Swim Club in Padadena, the Solotar Swim Club and
Cardinal Hills Swim Club in Virginia as well as being an Assistant and Head
Coach with the Huntsville Lakers since 2002.
Professionally, Rick is a Social Worker with UTMB Correctional Managed Care
in Huntsville and is currently located at the Holliday Transfer Facility.
Personally, Rick has been married to his wife, Tammy, for 24 years and has 2 children - a
daughter, Jessica, attending TWU and a son, Josh, attending Southwestern.
Rick enjoys
reading and collecting and selling sports cards in his spare time. He
enjoys seeing kids succeed in swimming and in life and giving back to a
